This month, our project had the honor of being represented by four distinct research posters and presentations at the prestigious American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Annual Symposium, held in San Francisco, California. We recently had the privilege of attending the International Conference on Forensic Nursing (IAFN) Science and Practice in Denver, Colorado. Being actively involved over three days of the conference, we engaged with nurses by facilitating focus groups and showcasing our offerings at a booth. Professor Katherine Scafide, a primary investigator of this project, presented her work for the audience, ranging from clinicians and academics to industry professionals. Outreach, GMU Early Identification Program

Graduate Research Assistants Emily Swann and Vibhavari Gadhe, under the guidance of Professor Scafide, delivered an enlightening lecture on bruise detection research to high school students in the "Introduction to Health Sciences" class as part of the Early Identification Program (EIP) at George Mason University. During the session, students learned about the definition of a bruise and the critical importance of detecting it.
